Bedrock Server Hosting: Phones, Consoles & Windows (2026)

Bedrock server hosting runs a Minecraft Bedrock Edition server that players on Android, iPhone, Windows 10/11, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch can join. AtrbCode offers Bedrock plans from $0.69 per month with SSD storage and unlimited player slots, plus a Bedrock Survival template. You set up the server in the panel, then connect with the server address.

What is Bedrock server hosting?

Bedrock Edition is the cross-platform version of Minecraft. When you buy a Bedrock server, you run server software that accepts connections from Bedrock clients on phones, consoles, and Windows. AtrbCode's Minecraft hosting plans all support Bedrock, and the first two plans (Ur and Uru) are Bedrock-only.

Unlike a Java server, which only accepts Java Edition clients, a Bedrock server lets players on different devices play together in the same world. This is the main reason server owners choose Bedrock hosting: it covers the widest range of devices out of the box.

Bedrock vs Java: what changes for you

The differences between Bedrock and Java hosting come down to which devices can connect and what kind of custom content each edition supports.

Feature Java Edition Bedrock Edition
Devices Java Edition clients only Android, iPhone, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch
At AtrbCode Java is offered on Uruk and above Every Minecraft plan offers Bedrock
Crossplay Needs Geyser and Floodgate to let Bedrock players join Native crossplay between all Bedrock devices
Custom content Plugins and modpacks Add-ons and behavior packs

If you want a server that your friends can join from a phone, console, or PC, Bedrock hosting is the simplest choice. If you already run a Java server and want Bedrock players to join, AtrbCode's crossplay feature adds that later. We cover crossplay in a dedicated section below.

AtrbCode Bedrock plans from $0.69

Every Minecraft plan at AtrbCode includes Bedrock hosting. The plan’s RAM and SSD storage are shared between the edition you run. The table below shows the monthly Bedrock price for each plan.

Plan RAM SSD storage Bedrock price/month
Ur 512 MB 5 GB $0.69
Uru 750 MB 7 GB $0.99
Uruk 1024 MB 10 GB $2.99
Akkad 2048 MB 15 GB $5.49
Babylon 3072 MB 20 GB $7.99
Assyria 4096 MB 25 GB $10.99
Aza 5120 MB 30 GB $13.99
Aram 6144 MB 35 GB $16.99
Dayak 7168 MB 40 GB $19.49
Iram 8192 MB 50 GB $22.99

All Minecraft plans have unlimited player slots; the practical limit is the plan’s RAM. Each purchase adds a $1.00 service fee. The first Minecraft plan on an account also adds a one-time $2.00 account fee. For example, the Ur Bedrock plan totals $1.69 for one month, or $3.69 if it is the account’s first plan. Longer billing periods are available: 1, 2, 3, 6, or 12 months paid at once, with 10% off for 6 months and 20% off for 12 months.

You can see all Minecraft plans and current totals on the Minecraft hosting page.

Choose the Bedrock Survival template

When you buy a Minecraft server at AtrbCode, you can choose a game-mode template. One of these is the Bedrock Survival template, which sets up a survival world for Bedrock Edition. This saves you from starting with an empty server and configuring basic survival settings yourself.

The Bedrock Survival template is one of many templates available. You can also pick from other Bedrock-compatible templates like Crossplay SMP, or choose one of the many Java game modes. Templates are selected during the purchase flow and can be changed later through the control panel. Learn more about the Bedrock Survival template or browse all Minecraft server templates.

Join from Android, iPhone, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch

Joining a Bedrock server is similar across every supported device:

  1. Open Minecraft Bedrock Edition on your device.
  2. Go to the Servers tab (the location varies slightly by platform).
  3. Add a new server and enter the server address shown in your AtrbCode control panel.
  4. Save the server and join it.

On consoles, you may need to sign in with the same Microsoft account you use for Minecraft. The exact menu names can differ slightly between Android, iPhone, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch. Our guide covers the steps for each platform: Join from Bedrock: phone, Windows and consoles.

Add crossplay to a Java server

If you already run a Java server at AtrbCode and want Bedrock players to join it, you can enable crossplay. The crossplay feature installs Geyser and Floodgate in one click and opens a Bedrock port. After that, Bedrock players can join your Java server using the Bedrock address shown in the panel.

This is useful for communities that started on Java but want to include friends on consoles or phones. The crossplay setup changes how the server handles Bedrock connections, but the Java server itself continues to run. Read the full guide: Let Bedrock players join a Java server.

Addons and mods on Bedrock

Bedrock Edition does not use Java plugins or Forge mods. Instead, it supports add-ons, which can change behavior, add items, or alter the world. AtrbCode's Bedrock servers let you upload your own files, including add-on packs, through the control panel.

To add custom content to a Bedrock server, you typically upload the required files and activate them in the server settings. The exact steps depend on the add-on, and many add-on creators provide installation notes. AtrbCode's file upload guide shows how to bring your own world or files to the server: Upload your own world or files.

How do I join my Bedrock server?
Open Minecraft Bedrock, go to the Servers tab, add a new server, and enter the address from your AtrbCode control panel. Save and join. See the join guide for detailed steps.
