Change the Minecraft version

Move to a newer or older version safely.

  1. Make a backup first: Create backup now in the Backups card.
  2. In the Minecraft version card, choose the version and press Apply version. The server restarts on it.
  3. If a plugin does not support the new version, the Server doctor card names it and offers to turn it off.
Going back to an older version can damage a world that was opened on a newer one. Restore the backup instead.

Still stuck? Log in and ask support, or check the service status. New here? See server plans from $0.69 a month.
