Questions about Vaultwarden

Can you see my passwords?

No. Bitwarden apps encrypt your vault on your device; the server only stores the encrypted data.

What if I forget my master password?

Nobody can recover it, which is what keeps the vault private. Use a hint you will remember and keep an emergency copy.

Is it the official Bitwarden server?

No. Vaultwarden is an independent, compatible server; the official Bitwarden apps work with it.
